My baby sister Danielle's Wedding at Outrigger Canoe Club
How can I not blog about the last Laudise sister to marry the man of all our dreams.
All she cared about was the ceremony and the "runway fashion show" processional. It was a hit! I'll put up the video when it goes live. Each bridesmaid (who picked out their own yellow dresses except the 3 older sisters who wore the same dress) & groomsmen did their own unique catwalk down the aisle including my sister who went all out with her traditional worm!
When the bride arrived it returned to a traditional poignant ceremony. Thanks to DJ Ninja, it was a perfect show! Father of the Bride AKA Pastor Steve married off his 4th daughter to Josef Lipp on July 9, 2012. The colors were obviously mimosa yellow, white and koa accents.
Absolutely Loved photography and friends of mine captured the amazing love between the couple, families and friends. Stefanie & Anna do a spectacular job capturing the natural light and making art out of ordinary people. Although I do think my family is stunning to begin with we did need a ton of help keeping us on check and quiet.
Star Creations brought in all the sister's flowers from their weddings and blended them into stunning centerpieces that popped against the rustic wood tables and wooven placemats.
The tables were named after romantic comedies since my sister is living in Hollywood, trying to make it a Holywood. To keep the movie theme going the bride & groom treated us to freshly popped popcorn and M&M's (our family tradition thanks to the Cordery's) while we watched Danielle's slideshow that was perfectly edited & produced doing what she does best, her Movies!
She loves to dance and I had to beg her to wear heels down the aisle but only if she could quickly change into her white sneakers to get her groove on. She searched for the perfect heel and couldn't find it so my creative mother had leftover lace from my wedding and covered a traditional white shoe to make it "sooo Danielle". She also made a family ring bearer pillow that incorporated a little something from all her daughter's wedding.
Candace Redongo coordinated a seamless event and allowed me to be a guest at my sister's wedding. Lily Coufalik of the Outrigger Canoe Club kept up with all of our "unique" and "special" ideas. The staff at OCC was outstanding and the mai tai's are amazing.
What a beautiful day that once again went by way too quickly. Now we wait until our flower girl, pookie grows up to find the man of her dreams.
